new UK company selling soul vinyl

Just heard a release of Dyke and the Blazers on 180 gram vinyl by Ace Records out of the UK. I emailed for wholesale info, but haven't heard back yet. Their website is acerecords.com. Lots of cool soul stuff from the 50's and '60's. I definitely want to stock these guys!

new lp to cd transfer ELP Declicker

Just saw this on the net:

ELP Declicker, $2,500 US

For the serious audiophile, the Declicker works with your turntable to convert those old vinyl records into a digital format. True to its name, the Declicker removes the clicks and background noise from a record in real-time without having to use a computer. The Declicker is optimized to work with 33 and 45 RPM records and while it works with 78 RPM, it won't be as effective at removing the clicks and crackles. Preview the Declicker online at www.elpj.com/purchase/declicker.php.

I think I would use the $2500 to buy more records! For those of you who do transfers for people, it would be worth looking it. For a private collector, I can't see it being worth it.

Check this out: Vinyl is my religion: Fearne Cotton.
Sorry about having to scroll through the Prince stuff, but it's worthwhile.

some more classified sites

Here's some more classified sites - Oodle.com, MetaExchange.com, and backpage.com. I like oodle the best, it scans a whole bunch of sites. You can determine the parameters of the search and also how you post. Metaexchange looks interesting in their concept of a stock market for collectible, but it remains to be seen if they get enough traffic

$100 coupon code Yahoo Search

And here's a $100 coupon code for Yahoo Search

Or call 866-764-7650 and mention promo code US2283B.

Google Adsense is still doing their credit if you do a free sign up for
eCrater.com

$50 coupon for signing up with MSN's adCenter

Just follow this link. Got mine yesterday - have been playing around with it, hoping to drive some traffic to my mojo nixon stuff. This might also work for rare albums - if it's a $200 lp or incredibly rare northern soul 45, it might be worth spending $5 on 100 clicks for it - for most of what we sell, I can't see there being any competition.

searching craigslist w/ an RSS feed

Check out this site Craig2mail.com - it lets you set up custom searches on craigslist with your keywords and categories. I've poked around it - so far the only drawback I see is you can't combine searches, so you have to keep going back. Other than that, it's going to be great being able to be the first to know about records in my area being posted on Craigslist.

Vinyl anniversary coming up with a festival

I had no idea this festival existed, let alone the organization!

Ojai Classic Rock Festival celebrates vinyl records

Vinyl Village - what a great idea! And a festival devoted to celebrating the birth of vinyl with Edison's invention of the phonograph - hurray!

new vinyl store in Columbia Missouri

Vinyl revival
Glad to see vinyl making a resurgence. Almost daily there's an article popping up on Google about a new vinyl store opening up.
